DAOLER® Friction Shims – Fastening Applications for Automotive, Wind Energy, Robotics and More
DAOLER® Diamond-Embedded Friction Shims are core components for fastening connections in high-end equipment. Adopting a special material composite process, they effectively solve problems such as interface slippage and bolt loosening under high-load working conditions. They are widely used in precision fastening scenarios across industries including automotive, wind energy and robotics.
The shims adopt nickel-plated steel as the base material, with diamond particles partially embedded on the friction contact surface. Firmly anchored inside the metal matrix, the diamond particles form a micro interlocking structure under bolt preload, greatly raising the static friction coefficient to achieve long-term anti-loosening and anti-slip performance. Featuring a thin and compact body, the nickel-plated substrate delivers outstanding corrosion resistance. The shims can sustain stable fastening performance for a long time under complex operating conditions such as continuous vibration, temperature fluctuation and humid environments.
## Multi-industry Fastening Application Scenarios
### Automotive
Applied to bolt fastening for automotive chassis, transmission assemblies and new energy vehicle motor components. Continuous bumping and vibration during vehicle operation tend to loosen fasteners. With stable friction-enhancing capacity, DAOLER® Friction Shims guarantee connection reliability during vehicle operation.
### Wind Energy Equipment
Suitable for fastening points of wind turbine towers, drive trains and pitch mechanisms. Wind power equipment operates outdoors year-round under alternating loads and harsh climates. Featuring corrosion resistance and anti-fatigue properties, the shims reduce equipment maintenance frequency.
### Robots & Harmonic Reducers
Used for precision connections at industrial robot joints and harmonic reducers. The internal assembly space of equipment is limited, and ultra-thin friction shims provide stable friction within confined space to ensure the repeated positioning accuracy of robots.
### Aerospace Components
Adopted for fastening connections of precision aerospace parts, meeting stringent load requirements and long-term environmental reliability standards.
## Product Advantages
1. Diamond composite friction surface with excellent wear resistance and stable, reliable friction coefficient
2. Nickel-plated steel substrate with high matrix structural strength and strong corrosion resistance
3. Thin and compact design, suitable for narrow precision assembly spaces
4. Custom non-standard solutions available, tailored according to load, dimension and working conditions
5. Samples available for customers to conduct preliminary performance testing and verification
